LRFT

Established in 1973, the Lake Rotoaira Forest Trust (LRFT) safeguards the heritage and future of over 12,000 owners' ancestral lands, spanning the majestic slopes around Lake Rotoaira, Otamangakau, and into the upper Wanganui Basin. As a dedicated Maori authority, we manage nearly 23,000 hectares, with 9,600 hectares in world-class plantation forestry in New Zealand’s central North Island.
Our commitment is to blend cultural heritage with sustainable forestry, ensuring our lands prosper for generations. Through unity and stewardship, LRFT embodies a vision of sustainability and community prosperity, honoring our ancestors while nurturing the land for future descendants.
